Mucormycosis is a rare fungal infection. The rapid increase in the number of cases of mucormycosis during the second wave of COVID-19 led to the recognition of a new entity called COVID-Associated Mucormycosis (CAM). This case series discusses seven cases of CAM that presented during the second wave of COVID-19, describing their clinical features, investigations, treatment, complications, and follow-up. The male-to-female ratio was 4:3, with a mean age of 57.85 years. The average interval between COVID-19 infection and the onset of mucormycosis symptoms was 2 weeks. All patients had diabetes mellitus, and three had cerebral involvement. All underwent surgical debridement followed by antifungal therapy. The mortality rate was 42.86%, comparable with rates reported in the literature. This is reported as the first case series on COVID-associated mucormycosis from a government hospital in Kerala.
